i do agree that some people can safely own guns, and i think americans have some rights to own them, but i'm still conflicted about it. i remember how easy it was for to get ahold of them when i was growing up. if they didn't just take their parents', there was always a kid breaking into houses and taking them (along with cash and liquor) and then they got passed around. if i was to keep a gun it would have to be locked up in a gun safe unless i had it on my person, which seems like a lot of trouble. plus i don't want to shoot anyone or get shot.

no. I should have, by now. it's very disappointing. and I'm assuming you mean for protection? no. because what would be the point? I couldn't keep it loaded (I've got nephews that visit randomly), and even in the very unlikely case that there was reason to use it in my apartment, the likelihood of my being able to get to wherever the gun is slim to none. senseless.
